Vacancy for Energetic and Motivated Pre-Reg Pharmacist at Hills Pharmacy 365, 15 Hilltop Rd, Oldbury, B68 9DU. Must be proactive and willing to learn.

You will work with your tutor to develop your knowledge of the profession of pharmacy and prepare you for taking the GPhC Pre-registration Exam. Additionally, short shadowing experiences may be offered with General Practitioners and Pharmacist Independent Prescribers.
All competencies will be assessed by your tutor.
Your responsibilities:
  • Work with GP surgery next door to examine and deliberate about potential incompatibility issues with prescriptions
  • Maintain inventory of medication and OTC stock.
  • Help patients understand how to properly take their prescribed medications
  • Work together with pharmacy staff members to maintain a safe, hygienic and friendly workplace
  • Answering the telephone, solving queries and assisting patients, as well as providing patient counselling and over-the-counter remedies to minor ailments
  • Accurate prescription dispensing, endorsing and labelling
  • Date checking
  • Prescribing and developing your knowledge of Over-The-Counter medication and helping patient deal with minor ailments
  • Identifying patients for MURs and NMS stability
  • Learning how to complete end of month
  • Participating with internal and national audits
  • Signposting to other healthcare providers
Requirements before applying:
  • Completed MPharm degree
  • Able to work in UK
  • Excellent communication with both customers and staff.
  • Lateral thinking skills.
  • Time-management and organisational skills must be exceptional, as you will be responsible for self-learning and any deadlines that must be met during training.
  • Ability to apply knowledge gained from the MPharm to practice
  • Preferably live within Birmingham region
